Funding for Predator Fence Erosion

We are extremely grateful to the Great Barrier Local Board for funding the majority of the cost to fix the ground erosion along a 1km length of the predator proof fence line. This has allowed us to repair the erosion and stop further incursion of rats and other pests. The repairs included replacing the eroded top soil, seeding with grass seed and then covering with coconut fibre matting pegged to the ground. The work is 60% completed and should be finished before the end of the year.

New Web Site

As you can see we’re in the process of building the web site. Thanks to Sarah Matthew from Glenfern for the design work, photo and logo. Feel free to have a look around and in particular take a squiz at our Adopt-a-Trap page. The Adopt-a-Trap platform has been developed by Scott Sambell. Scott and his wife Emma Cronin managed sanctuary operations from their base at Glenfern prior to the arrival of the new managers Chris Giblins and Sarah Matthews.
